Just wanted to let you all know that I am going to start putting a cookbook together to sell as a fundraiser. So, if anyone has any yummy recipes that you would like to share that I can put in the book, please send them to me via email. I would like to get the recipes to the company by Friday Oct. 27th because it takes them about 6 weeks to get the books put together. And I would like to have the books available so that people can buy some as christmas presents if they want. So, if you are interested in buying any just let me know that too.
And I am still selling candles, until the 19th. The scents that I am selling for those are…Banana bread, Cinnamon sticks, Lavender Basil, Madagascar Vanilla, Orchid Tea, Pumpkin, Sonlight, Sugar Plum, Mountain Retreat, Tea leaf and Jasmine, Victorian Christmas, and Hot Apple pie. They are either 10 oz. jars for $11 or 16 oz. jars for $16. They also make great Christmas gifts!!!

Hello Mel, this is rachel stone. did you know that we live in scotland now? tim is doing his ph.d. anyway, i check in on your site every now and then to see how things are going, and you’re in our prayers, of course. i thought i’d send along a recipe or two; i am kind of a recipe freak!
sunflower chip cookies
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup wheat germ
2 tablespoons dry milk powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
mix above ingredients and set aside
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. then mix in egg and vanilla. stir in dry ingredients gradually, and then add:
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-12 minutes. Cool on rack for crispier cookies, on clean countertop or brown paper for chewier cookies.
These are really good, and pretty good for you, too!
Hope your family is doing well. Looking forward to hearing good news!
In Christ,
rachel
